About Us

There's a new adventure waiting for you at Camp Fun in the Sun!  What better way to spend part of your summer than at a cool camp with kids just like you? Camp Fun in the Sun is camp where diabetic kids can get outside, make friends and have fun. A typical day could start with a refreshing jump in the lake. Then it’s off to arts and crafts, basketball or a hike in the woods. The afternoon might bring swimming, slip-n-slide or maybe even a little game of “dunk the camp counselor.” A round of Capture the Flag often follows dinner, and our day winds down with songs and stories around a giant campfire. Don’t forget the ghost stories!

Camp Fun in the Sun is Returning to One Week this Summer!
July 25 through July 31, $325

After 11 years of two separate weeks of Camp, Camp Fun in the Sun is returning to its roots with one week of Camp rather than two. We will be accommodating ages 8-18 in this week and will be restructuring the program to accommodate both age groups in one week without sacrificing traditional games and events. Ted Duncan, ADA has joined our Leadership Team and will assist our new Program Coordinator in creating age appropriate activities that will create memories for a lifetime. Due to space limitations with one week and our mission to provide a safe camping environment to children with diabetes, we will unfortunately no longer be able to accept siblings or friends of diabetic campers.

Don't delay…Register today to reserve your space and begin the adventure!  If you are interested in learning more about our Leaders in Training program, please click here!

It’s an Adventure that Builds Lifetime Memories
Camp Fun in the Sun was founded more than 20 years ago as a safe, enjoyable, summer camp for children and teens with diabetes. Today, it’s still a place to find adventure and make memories for life. At Camp Fun in the Sun, campers have a chance to spend time with other kids living with diabetes, learn to balance their daily activities and have summer fun the way it was meant it to be. Located at Twinlow Camp and Retreat Center in Rathdrum, Idaho, Camp Fun in the Sun is recognized by the American Camp Association, and has maintained accreditation through the ACA since 2000.
